A WordPress plugin for development and staging sites. It can restrictwp_mail recipients to an allowlist (with optional *@domain.com wildcards) and redirect everyone else to a fallback address. Original addresses stay visible in the display name for debugging.
It also logs outgoing messages locally so administrators can inspect, search, resend, or delete them. Filtering is off by default. Nothing is sent to third-party servers.
Highlights
- Filter To / Cc / Bcc before other mail plugins run
- Local email logger with retention rules
- Admin screens under Outgoing Email
- GPLv2 or later · PHP 7.4+ · no external services
Install from the WordPress plugin zip (https://wordpress.org/plugins/zdn-whitelist-outgoing-email/), then open Outgoing Email → Whitelist to configure the fallback address and allowlist when you are ready to enable filtering.
